For quite some time before my
main character hit 40, I would
always see, "Class X looking for Trickster's!" scroll across the Qalia
regional chat channel as I off adventuring. I always wondered what it
was, where it was, and above all, what secrets did it hold? Since I'm
finally there, let's find out together.


Clearing out
the Grime III

You've
completed Clearing out
the Grime I and II. The Glyphback Feeders and Daubs have been killed.
Your party is a little beat up, but ready to head into Trickster's
Haven again in the hopes of getting a better reward than some measly
coin, so let's get to it.



Talk to Bakijar again and he'll give you the Clearing of the Grime III
quest. He's still unable to go into Trickster's Haven, and without some
help, he won't get paid. Rather than telling him that's his own tough
luck though, you decide to give him a hand yet again. style="width: 181px; height: 250px; float: right;"

Rather than some simple Glyphbacks Feeders or Daubs, Bakijar needs you
to kill 14 Ivory Hooded Snakes this time. The snakes are definitely a
more difficult task than the Feeders were, and a little more
challenging than the Daubs.



On your first foray into Trickster's on your way to take out the
Viscous and Creeping Daubs Bakijar asked you to kill earlier, you
passed a pool that had 5 Ivory Hooded Snakes in it. The snakes are 4
dot mobs that range between level 41-44.. To avoid pulling the entire
pool, be sure to hug the right side of the wall as you make your way
back down the staircase that leads to it.



When pulling, the snakes usually come in pairs of 2 at best, but
sometimes you'll get 3. Be sure to have your crowd control players
ready. There is a named 5 dot snake that sometimes spawns, so be ready
for it, or you may get more than you bargained for in a pull.



One of the undead haunting Trickster's Haven wanders between the top of
the stair way and small pack of undead past the pool. Be sure to keep
your eyes open for him as he can make a bad pull horrifically worse
with the right timing. If you have a necromancer in the group, let the
rest of your party continue to concentrate on the snakes that have been
pulled and let the necromancer mez him. The mez will last for 60
seconds which should be enough time to get the snakes under control.

After clearing out the snakes here, you have a choice to make to get
the rest. The safe route is to hang around and kill various undead in
the area while you wait for the snakes to respawn. While this is an
admittedly boring way to go (the respawn timer is a bit long it seems),
it would be the safe bet.



If your group is up for a challenge though, you'll need to proceed
further into Trickster's Haven and go past the Summoning Circle and the
dastardly teleporting painting. If you survive, the tunnel leading out
of that room will lead you to a large cavern that has a number of
snakes in it, but that guide is for another day.



When you eventually get all the requisite snake kills, head back to
Bakijar to choose your well earned reward!
