It was done back in December and I think that run went well. Do you
think there have been enough significant changes that another 30 day
run for players that have left the game is worthwhile? With the changes
to the Riftway System, getting together with your friends and groups is
easier than ever. Druids, Dreadknights, and Paladins have seen changes
as well. If you think another free 30-day subscription renewal would do
the trick, then this choice is for you.
This was originally brought up a while back, just as a discussion to
see if there was enough interest in the idea to possibly justify the
time and money it would take to develop and maintain. I bring it up
again because there are many players that claim most of the "at
release" players that left did so because they felt the game was too
easy and going in the wrong direction. Are there really enough players
that left for this reason that would want to play on such a server?
Here's the choice for you then!
Whether we're talking about an old player, or a current player, who
doesn't like to play their game of choice with real life friends? With
the number of performance increases, and computer processing power
getting cheaper by the week, perhaps now is the time for them to
give the game a try. The majority of players have either already used,
or possibly lost, their original set of buddy keys since the first
bought the game. If "Buddy Keys FTW!" is your idea of a good T-shirt
slogan, then this one's for you.
This is a topic of hot debate not only in terms of video games, but
virtually every other business in existence. There comes a time when
the crowd that was originally interested in a product no longer is and
new blood must be found to continue supporting the owners. Gaming is no
different. Has the time come for Vanguard to forget the old players?
Should they be concentrating strictly on ways of luring new players
into the game? If you think this is the way to go to ensure Vanguards
long-term survival, then this choice is for you.
As I've done in the past, this is another poll that requires an "Other"
option. The only thing I ask is that if you choose this as your option,
please take the time to let us know what that choice would be.
What do you think it would take for old players to come back?
