So for starters, let’s kick things off with an easy question,
Luper. How long have you been the SOE Class Lead for the Blood Mage
class?



Luper:

I've been Blood Mage Class Lead since November 16th of 2007.



Dalmarus:

Before you got the class lead slot, did you work with the previous lead
at all?



Luper:

No I did not work with the previously CL. Sadly, I never got to meet
Jeters.



Dalmarus:

Did you hear SOE was looking for a new Blood Mage class lead, or did
someone come to you since you're obviously so involved with the game?



Luper:

Actually, someone in game sent me a tell and told me that the they were
looking for a new Blood Mage class lead, and told me to try out. I
thought, hey... why not?



Dalmarus:

It's amazing where some things start.



Luper:

For sure.



Dalmarus:

Have you ever worked on a community site for a game you've played in
the past?



Luper:

Actually, I never helped with a community site, but I did help run an
outfit site for Ghost of the Revolution in PlanetSide



Dalmarus:

How did you get involved with the podcasts you've been doing recently
with Beau? Did he come to you or were you looking for another outlet to
get involved in with the Vanguard community?



Luper:

I actually noticed his post, and listened to the podcast. I thought it
was definitely something I would be interested in. I was shy at first.
I mean... you can tell from how giggly I was in the first episode I was
involved in.



Dalmarus:

A short time ago, I heard a rumor that you actually have a level 50
character for every class in the game. Is that true?



Luper:

I do have a level 50 of each class. ^_^



Dalmarus:

Wow! That’s impressive.



So are you also a heavy crafter, or diplomat, or do you mainly stick
with the adventuring side of things?



Luper:

I mainly stick with adventuring. I hate crafting, but I do have a level
50 crafter. Diplo is a lot of fun, but I’m taking that
slowly. I don't want to rush everything. If I can't find a group at
all, I will diplo. I am always willing to craft things for people; I
just don't have the passion to enjoy it. I know many people who love
crafting. Kudos to them. <3



Dalmarus:

You're guild, Brotherhood of the Spider, was the first to complete the
initial griffon flying mount quest, wasn't it? If I remember the
screenshots correctly, you were in the group that got the worldwide
first for that. How long did it take to gain the flying mount?



Luper:

Brotherhood of the Spider was the first to get the first griffon. The
young one, but we unfortunately did not get the WWF on the final
griffon due to bugs. =(



It took us a week to get it. Believe me I didn’t sleep for
days!



Dalmarus:

That's a bummer. It still had to feel pretty great to be the first to
get the initial griffon. Did you do anything in particular to celebrate
the event in game?



Luper:

It was a great accomplishment, and I loved the challenge of the griffon
quest. As for my celebration? I slept ^_^



Dalmarus:

Haha, I bet you did!



Do you have any advice for players wishing to get a flying mount of
their own, but may not belong to a strong guild with the dedicated
resources to accomplish that goal?



Luper:

My advice is to get the best gear and find a group that will be able to
stick with it till the end.
