Seydmor will greet
you by screaming at you.  "YOU FOOL!  DO YOU KNOW
WHAT YOU'VE DONE?"  



Don't be intimidated.  Ask him nicely to turn off his
caps lock and continue with what he has to say.



Seydmor will go on to explain that entering the room and dispatching
the priests has undone months of his work. (That will teach you not to
knock).  Months ago his wife took an oath to this cult and he
wanted to reunite with her.  The cultists promised him that if
he performed their bidding and followed through on the ritual of
purification they could be reunited.  He was just about to
complete the ritual with the priests when we came in and ruined it all.
 Foiled again by us meddling kids.



Don't feel too bad about it though.  After explaining to him
about the book of purification and what the ritual actually entails,
Seydmor will become a bit more understanding and border on thankful.
 Sure, he'll be all doom and gloom about losing his wife, but
on the bright side, you've just made a new friend, and that right there
is worth any wife, isn't it? Regardless, at least he won't
be so hostile any more.



He'll tell you that years ago the cult leader was slain,
and her blood poured onto the ground, resulting in the
crystalline formations we like to call infineum.



He'll then tell you that though he is wrought with regret for the
things he has done in the name of this cult, and he would like to help
you.
 He'll tell you about a recruiter in the area that will have
more information.  Oh, and of course Seydmor wants a favor.
 Who doesn't nowadays?



This will complete "The Purification Ritual" and open up the next quest
in the series: "Vengeance."  The name says  it all.
