bugged.   Sometimes the mobs won't spawn, or the quest won't
update, or other various bugs.  Some quests may be
completable,
but proceed at your own risk.

The Avatar of Sartholas

Let's move on to the
next quest in the series, "The Hunt."  To get this quest, you
need to meet Sartholas, The Hunter.  He can be found in the
second cubby on the right hand side of Tyrashnira's Lair.  Be
sure to kill the two champions outside his cubby and head in to hail
him to get his quest.

Apart from apparently an occasional eyebrow-plucking, Sartholas is a
pretty manly avatar.  He's dark, brooding, and vindictive; all
traits someone looks for when picking up a quest.



Sartholas will tell you that for every action there is an equal and
opposite reaction.  What an epiphany!  It seems
someone in his past ticked him right off and now he's looking
to exact revenge.  Such a heartwarming tale, how could we
refuse?



Sartholas will explain that he wants you to lay the smack down on a
beast called "Hoarn."



The Hunt for Hoarn



Sartholas will give you an hour to find Hoarn and
chop off his hoof.  For this, be sure to bring your group and
get buffed up.  This fight ain't always pretty.



Head back to the Antechamber, near the entrance of the Pantheon.
 By now you should be familiar with three of the four
corridors: the entrance, the hall to Tyrashnira's Lair, and the hall to
the Corridor of the Pure.  We're going to want the other hall.
 The middle one.



This hall will lead you to a fork that goes left and right.
 Don't charge in.  There are mobs wandering about and
they come in flocks of 3-5.  It may be wise to pull some of
these wanderers back into the hall towards the Antechamber so that more
mobs don't eat you while you're dispersing of the first set.
 Clear the hall of all wanderers, then head in and turn left,
towards Tyrashnira's Lair - the upper deck.



Here you'll find a LOT more mobs.  You probably will not want
to kill them all, as again, there are plenty of wanderers that will
make quick order of ending your little Hoarn hoof hunting happiness.
(See that alliteration there?)  Kill a few of them near the
hall entrance, and that should give you enough space to fight.



Hoarn is a five-dot level 30.  He looks something like a

 He will path around the entire top deck of Tyrashnira's lair,
so all you'll need to do here is exhibit a little patience, and he will
eventually walk by you.



When you see him, pull him.  The rest is pretty standard fare.
 Lay in on him till he drops and leaves you his hoof.
 Don't worry!  He's a mutant minotaur and will drop a
hoof for each of your party members.



Don't pay too much attention to where I'm fighting him in the
screenshot there.  It's kind of one of those "Do as I say,
don't do as I do" things.  For that screenshot I tried
fighting him in a different area, and it didn't turn out well, as
mid-fight I was set upon by a gaggle of annoyed Pantheon residents.



So, now that Hoarn is dead, and you have a severed bloody hoof in hand,
you're probably feeling a little special.  Head back to
Sartholas and hand in your findings for his reward: yet another mark
upon your brow.  To get to Sartholas you can either walk back
the way you came, or if you're feeling adventurous, you can drop down
off the catwalks up top and land in the middle of the lair.
 I'd suggest levitate if you don't have safe fall, but it's
really up to you.



Hold your head high!  You've now completed five of the six
pantheon quests in Tyrashnira's Lair.  Next, we'll head over
to the avatar of Finch and see what kind of tasks he has for us.
