Beast masters concern themselves
with the animals and beasts of the wild.  Be it caverns (or sewers
for that matter), jungle or desert, beast masters
style="font-family: tahoma;"> excel at dealing with the creatures ones
find in these places.  Highly resistant to the poisons these
creatures sometimes have, able to mesmerize these creatures with great
skill, and at later levels, able to affect vermin and elementals, beast
masters have little to fear from tooth, pincer and claw.

Aside from they control over and skills in hunting or dealing with
animals, beast masters are excellent archers, even more so than many
other types of rangers.  In addition, their spells are oriented
toward the out of doors, with snare, wild instincts and spike growth
among their repertoire.

Beast masters are not particularly gifted melee combatants.. they are
better keeping at a distance and turning their enemies into
pincushions.  However, in this context, they are very deadly, able
to get bursts of speed which keep them out of harms way.
