Guide to quests in Gondamon and
Surrounding Lands

Gondamon is a large dwarven outpost found in northern Ered
Luin. The area around Gondamon is full of animals, including
wolves, eagles (an evil type know as hendrevail), many types of bears
and other creatures. In addition to that, the land to the east of
Ered Luin (known as Haudh Lin) is rife with spiders, barrow wights, and
small worm-like creatures. West of Gondamon is the
href="http://lotro.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=391">Valley
of the
Thrain. Full of snow cats, bears and goblins, it is also a
dangerous area.
There are several quests available in the area of Gondamon, not only
in the city, but also at
href="http://lotro.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=389">Thrasi's
Hunting Lodge (found to the south east
of Gondamon), in Noglond (a dwarven guardpost in the Valley of the
Thrain) and with some individuals in the wild. One particular
individual (Glamir) is found alone in a ruin south of the Grimwater.

numerous in the copses along the road through the Vale of
Thráin, making travel through the Vale unsafe.

The road runs northwards from Noglond through the Vale of Thráin
to Thorin's Halls.
Ketill has asked you to patrol along the road through the Vale of

south-west of Noglond.

Defeat the Blue Crag Chieftain
The Blue-crag Chieftain is at the large goblin camp in ruins to the
south-west of Noglond.
Embarrassed by his previous skepticism, Grímkell has asked you
to raid the goblins in their camp and slay their chieftain. He
suggested you take allies.
Note: The chieftain is at r1 lx446 ly1040 ox128.82 oy11.88 oz624.83
h43.6 but you must fight your way through about 20 goblins in pairs or
threes to get to him.

Bolli: Bolli is at Gondamon, east of Noglond.
Grímkell has asked you to take the goblin fetish to Bolli, the

on his way to Duillond, an
Elf named Penglir stopped at the hunters' lodge and gave his bow to the
young Ranger Celairant. Celairant accepted the gift, but feels unworthy
to own such a thing of beauty.

can be found outside the walls of Kheledûl. Celairant is at
Thrasi's lodge, west of Kheledûl.
Celairant told you that his bow was stolen at sword-point by a Dourhand
named Starkath and his minions. He has asked you to hunt down Starkath
and recover the bow.

the bow from him, Celairant is now certain that he is not worthy of the
Elvish weapon.
Penglir is at Duillond, south-east of Gondamon.
Celairant asked you to return to Penglir at Duillond and explain why he
feels unworthy to bear the bow, having lost it once already to the
dwarf-brigand Starkath.

Cat's Meow
a dwarf hunter, rescued
a mother lynx while out hunting bears. He was attacked by a flock of
hendrevail and had to leave the mother's cubs behind.
the Abandoned Bear Den:
The abandoned den should be north of the hunter's lodge near the
standing stones.
Thrasi hurt his leg while rescuing an injured lynx from hendrevail and
asked you to retrieve the surviving cubs.

reunited thanks to your efforts but they are getting hungry, and Thrasi
is still nursing his ankle.
traps for small game scattered not far to the east and west of Thrasi's
lodge.
Thrasi asked you to either hunt and kill a live rabbit, or to check his
traps and bring back a rabbit carcass for the lynx-mother and her cub.

Edain mounds in the eastern reaches of Haudh Lin, heralding the coming
of a great evil to Ered Luin.

Standing Stone and Defeat it's Guardian: The white standing stone is in
the old Edain mounds north-east of Glamir's home, near the ruins of an
old building.
Glamir told you to take the elf-stone to the Edain mounds and place it
upon the largest standing stone. He believes the creature whose will
governs the wights of Haudh Lin may be drawn into the open by its
presence. (The standing stone is near the ruins of Emyd Hoedh, to
the east of the ruins a short distance away)

about the cave-claws burrowing beneath the barricades. Until recently,
the barricades have been strong enough to withstand the goblin
assaults, but the cave-claws have now weakened them.

Milkeyes can be found beyond the barricades south of
Ingólfr's camp.
Ingólfr has asked you to enter Rath Teraig and kill off a number
of Milkeyes, to prevent them from gnawing at the barricade
completion of Cave Claws in the Narrows)
dealing with the goblins of Rath Teraig, which have become more
aggressive of late.
Defeat the Blug Crag Stinger (5)
Goblins can be found beyond the barricade south of Ingólfr's
camp.
Ingólfr has asked you to enter Rath Teraig and deal with the
goblins there, in hopes that they will learn to keep away from the
barricades long enough for the winter snows to fill the pass.

trophy to prove to Galti that there are wights amidst the old mounds.

Gailthin the elf-emissary is in Gondamon. She is on the same level of
the city as Nithi, off to the south of Nithi's plaza.
Nithi has asked you to bring the haunted skull to the elf-emissary,
Gailthin, in the hopes she will be able to deal with the threat it
represents.
Elf Stone (requires A Disturbing Affair)
you found a wight skull in
the mounds, Nithi advised that you take it to the Elf, Gailthin.
the Elf Stone to Glamir:
Glamir dwells at the ruins north-east of Gondamon, at the southern end
of the Grimwater.
Gailthin gave you an elf-stone and sent you to an Elf named Glamir, who
may be able to help you against the wights of Haudh Lin.
