It's
not convenient to use stealth in large portions of this adventure. It
is best to clear bit by bit and deal with patrols that are wandering
nearby as you go to prevent them from wandering up behind you in the
middle of a fight. Don't activate the gem until you have someone at the
last switch for the trap you are near. Then activate the gem, fight the
ambush, and have the person standing by the final switch for the trap
use that switch. They are not “rogue” traps per se—just hard-to-find
switches.

style="border: 2px solid ; width: 150px; height: 113px;" align="right">The
goal of this quest is to kill the troglodyte shaman who leads all the
kobolds and troglodytes here. Upon entering, you see a hallway ending
at a 4-way intersection  The one directly ahead is blocked by a
portcullis and is flanked by two unlit crystals. To the right and left
are corridors leading past water flows (ankle deep) to different parts
of the dungeon.

The right-hand fork leads past two square blocks of dungeon, each
patrolled by small groups of troglodytes and patrolling kobold throwers
and shamans. It is best to defeat them bit by bit, and keep in mind
that patrols will approach from behind.

Three switches are found in this portion of the dungeon, one behind a
column in a U-shaped niche. Another one lies behind a secret door. The
thris switch is near the entrance. Make sure to clear the hallways
here. Then find and activate all but the switch closest to the shrine.
Then go to the shrine and crystal activation valve at the end. Until
you clear this area, don't approach the shrine nor valve.

style="border: 2px solid ; width: 150px; height: 113px;" align="left">The
shrine has two zombies lying on the ground here. They will animate and
attack when you approach the shrine.  The valve will bring the
shaman Hyrossis and 2 guards to you when you turn it. Be prepared for
Hypnotic Pattern and Magic Missile spells, plus searing ray. There is a
chest in a niche once he is defeated.

When the valve is activated (and Hyrossis defeated), you will see the
many spikes the valve has activated. If you use the final switch at
this point, the spikes will be disabled, and you can walk back to the
intersections with the 2 crystals. One of the crystals should be
activated now.

The other direction from the 4-way intersection leads down, to hallways
similar to the ones you just saw. Here again the hallway is patrolled
by troglodytes, kobolds, and some war dogs. Again, once the hallways
are clear, do NOT approach the shrine or signal crystal. First find the
3 valves located here (one behind a secret door, one near the shrine
and crystal, and finally one near the entrance to this wing of the
dungeon in a niche) and activate all but the switch closest to the
valve. This side of the dungeon href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/modules.php?set_albumName=Exclusive_Screenshots&id=MIA1&op=modload&name=Gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php"> alt="lightning"

has lightning traps that avoided by timing, so it important you save a
switch until after the trap is activated. If you turn all the switches
before activating the valve that lights the signal crystal, the trap
will turn on and you  won't be able to turn it off.

Now go to the shrine and kill the two zombies here that animate. They
are the second party that entered here. Finally, go the signal crystal
across from the shrine, and activate it. Again you will be attacked,
but this will not be by a shaman as powerful as Hyrossis.

Once you have done this, turn the last, closest switch to disable the
lightning, use the shrine, and head back to the 4-way intersection.

Once approaching the 4-way intersection, note 2 kobolds at the
intersection. Kill them at range; don't go in sight of the
intersection. The boss of the kobolds is close. Past the raised
portcullis are 4 kobold shamans in niches in the sides, and the kobold
boss, Krassis. Lure Krassis out of the hallway around the corner from
the intersection. The shamans will not follow far, so they won't
interfere. Kill Krassis by himself. Finally, go kill the shamans,
keeping in mind they will be spamming Cause Fear, Acid Splash, and
Magic Missile.

Past them is a dead end, with a rope leading up to the surface and a
chest for successful adventurers.
