The Lost Seekers: Venn's Fate

You must have completed "

Kobold's Den," "
href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=390">Rescuing
Arlos," and "
href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=404">Venn's
Trail" to access this quest. It is not necessary to complete this
quest in order to
enter the Marketplace, but it is one of the best early dungeons in
terms of
rewards in both XP and loot. You'll find that the Waterworks is about
the only Harbor quest people want to group for these days. The rest can
usually be completed solo or do not offer enough reward to make them
worthwhile in comparison to the Waterworks.
General Strategies
As the previous three quests in this series, you'll be encountering
plenty of kobolds. A
href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=112">Crowd
Control Captain who uses Hypnotism will serve the party well. The
ogre in the dungeon may be tough to enchant, but a good tank or ranger
will dispatch him. The skeletons and zombie you encounter on this quest
are weak enough to be easily turned.
As you traverse the tunnels, turn valves to free prisoner for bonus XP,
and be on the lookout for Venn's body. You must find it to trigger the
quest line to kill the interrogator and avenge Venn.
Tunnelworm Lair
Harbor, the Waterworks

the entrance to loot a mushroom. Then turn west and kill three kobolds
who block your path. Continue west until the tunnel turns north. Beware
the trap and the 3 wolves in this corner.
Move north until you reach the room with the chest guarded by Murat the
Maniacal. Once he is dead and the chest is looted, go back the way you
came and head east back to the entrance tunnel.
Section 2 (the grand shaman):
Head east from the entrance tunnel until you confront a pair of kobold
warriors. Kill them and move south until you reach a four-way
intersection with three kobolds. Slaughter them and turn east to face a
lone kobold near a mushroom. Continue east to face Clan Tunnelworm's
high shaman and his 3 cronies. Loot the chest and return to the 4-way.
Head south from the 4-way if you need to use one of the dungeon's two
Rest Shrines. Otherwise, move west.
Section 3 (freeing prisoners): Heading
west from the 4-way near where you killed Clan Tunnelworm's grand
shaman, you'll encounter two prison cells. Free the people inside.
You'll need to free 3 more for bonus XP.
A zombie and 5 skeletons stalk you at the next intersection. A cleric
should be able to use Turn Undead to remove this nuisance. Continue
west until you reach another 4-way intersection.
The room to the west is the second Rest Shrine. Use both shrines at
your discretion.
Going south from the 4-way, you will discover two more prison cells.
Free the prisoners and go south until you face off with another pair of
kobold warriors. Kill them and turn a valve before heading east.
In this tunnel, you will find Venn's cell. Search his remains and you
will trigger the part of the quest where you get to avenge his death by
slaying the interrogator.
If you want to get that bonus XP for freeing the other prisoners, go
east from Venn's cell and then turn south. You'll have to kill a couple
of kobold warriors and a shaman. You can then loot some rubble and
speak to the terrified prisoner to free him. When you loot the nearby
chest, 4 medium monstrous scorpions will ambush you.
When you ware ready to complete the quest, return to the tunnel near
the dungeon entrance.
Section 4 (the interrogator): Head
east from the entrance tunnel until you reach the intersection where
you confronted a pair of kobold warriors in style="font-weight: bold;">Section 2. This time, move north.
You can free another prisoner along your path before you reach the room
with the Tunnelworm interrogator. He is guarded by 6 puny kobolds and a
shaman. Use crowd control to turn the tide of this battle.
Killing the interrogator avenges Venn's death and completes your
primary objective. loot the chest and head to see Guard Tember for your
reward for completing the last quest of the Waterworks! style="font-weight: bold;">
