It was a bit of a surprise to fans when Craig Zinkievich stepped down as Executive Producer of Star Trek Online, but now Cryptic Studios has lost another key figure with Bill Roper. Roper has decided to leave his position as Chief Creative Officer of Cryptic Studios to seek new opportunities to appease his restless entrepreneurial spirit.
For the past two years Ive had the extreme privilege of working with an amazing array of talented developers and just plain great people here at Cryptic Studios. Over the past few months my entrepreneurial spirit has become restless, and Ive made the difficult decision to move on and look for new opportunities.
Who will be filling the position as Chief Creative Officer has not yet been announced so stay tuned and we'll update you when we have more details.
