Though they never actually made it to the League Championship Series, Team Fusion had a bigger fan following than some LCS teams. This was due in part to intelligent marketing and branding, was also largely thanks to manager Veyloris' frequent and enjoyable interactions with the community, and had quite a bit to do with former pros like NintendudeX and Nientonsoh being part of the roster. However, all of this was still not enough for the team to make it out of the Challenger Series, having most recently lost to an underwhelming Team Dignitas squad in the Summer Promotion Tournament. They were also unable to qualify during the Spring Promotion, and it seems these two failures were enough to break the team apart.

Even with the team apparently disbanding, all of the hard work building up the Fusion brand does not appear as though it will go to waste. The team will be releasing a full statement in the near future, but have already stated they intend to continue to "contribute to eSports in some capacity." As of yet, we don't know much about the future of the players, but one would have to imagine they will have opportunities ahead of them. Jungler NintendudeX seemed to play significantly better when compared to the last time he was in the LCS, and Nien appeared revitalized after returning to his natural role of AD Carry. The other players on the team all displayed considerable levels of skill as well, and will likely be able to continue to play at least in the Challenger Series if they so desire.
