Crytek has inked a new deal with Live Gamer to provide its microtransaction monetization tools for free-to-play shooter Warface and the GFACE social gaming hub portal. The new agreement offers GFACE and Warface the advanced monetization and global payment tools of Live Gamer, providing a “direct-to-consumer monetization channel” for microtransaction services. The Live Gamer tools include an e-wallet to handle the GFACE Kredits virtual currency and the ability to exchange Crytek’s universal currency for in-game items in multiple countries as well as tools for third-party developers.
