The CS:GO World Championships are a joint venture by E-Sports big wigs E-Frag and Hitbox that will be starting their first rounds of matches today, the 18th of May. The tournament is an international event with teams from over 70 countries taking part, and over $100, 000 on the line in prize pool money.

Over the next several months these teams will battle it out in Regional qualifiers with the winners advancing to the Championship LAN finals in Belgrade, Serbia.
