EverQuest II: Tears of Veeshan Expansion Goes Live

by on Nov 12, 2013

EverQuest II’s Tears of Veeshan expansion arrives today to launch Norrath into a new age with fresh content.

After a brief delay, EverQuest II is today poised to launch its latest expansion with Tears of Veeshan. The new expansion continues the evolving story that follows the apocalyptic plot of the prismatic dragon Kerafyrm the Awakened and his plans for the Tear of Veeshan. It’s unclear where this story is going, but this expansion and events in the latest EverQuest expansion, Call of the Forsaken, have some similarities and characters.

In addition to the expanding story, Tears of Veeshan adds a ton of new content such as the Channeler class, new Dragon-themed AAs, an increase in the AA limit to 340, a new overland area, two new raid zones, nine dungeons, a larger guild hall, and lots more. Read the Tears of Veeshan patch notes for the full rundown. Just grab a snack first, it's a long read.

Server downtime began today at 7:00am PT with an expected downtime of 5 hours, which means you still have a bit of a wait assuming all goes as planned, so be sure to keep your eyes glued to EQHammer for all the latest news on the EverQuest franchise.
