It's never good to hear the word "restructuring" in a business and Icarus Studios, the company behind Fallen Earth, has become the latest victim of the synonym for layoffs. Last week, Icarus Studios Chief Executive Officer James Hettinger, announced a restructuring of the company, resources, and staffing to ensure growth and development of the company.

As you might expect, many players have voiced concerns over the move and what impact it might have on the post-apocalyptic MMOG. In an effort to address some of the concerns, Fallen Earth Marketing Manager Jessica "Circatrix" Orr took some time to speak to Massively. Orr told Massively that of the 110 employees only 35 remain, not including GMs or customer support staff. Orr also addressed some speculation and rumors that have been circulating since the announcement and ensured players that the game's next update will be unaffected.

As always, our best wishes go out to those affected by the unfortunate layoffs.
