Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) Producer Naoki Yoshida stopped by the FFXIV website yesterday to drop a new "Producer's Letter" detailing the results of the survey sent out to players last month after the new leadership team was put in place. Yoshida addressed a number of the results and has already implemented a few things that players should be seeing over the next few of months, one being an official FFXIV forum for each of the four supported languages.

The results of the survey was also posted showing many players feel that the game's fundamental gameplay is in need of an overhaul with a hefty 72.4% selecting that option from the survey. Issues with the combat system and lack of game content also received a noticeable number for selected improvement. And you know that you have a problem in your MMORPG when 85.2% of your survey audience would welcome changes to the game that would drastically alter the rules of the game world.

Yoshida ended his summary review of the survey with a new list of some of the changes that will be coming in the next FFXIV update, which includes changes to the Battle system, the introduction of the public company system, Guildleves improvements and much more. You can read the full "Producer's Letter" on the FFXIV Loadstone website.
