Yes, this does mean there will be undead.

If you haven't yet heard about the upcoming CCG/RPG hybrid Labyrinth, you can read about what it's bringing to the table right here. Free Range Games is looking to make something unique and long-lasting, and already had a solid partnership with Justin Gary and the team at Stoneblade Entertainment. Now, add another high-profile partner into the mix.

Today, Free Range Games has announced a partnership with Skybound Entertainment, the multimedia company founded by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and his longtime business partner David Alpert. President of Skybound Interactive, Dan Murray, had this to say about the collaboration: “I’ve known Chris and the talented team at Free Range Games for a while. They make games that gamers love and Labyrinth is no different. This fresh reinvention on a CCG tapped into our passion for old school D&D games. We can’t wait to see Labyrinth come to life!”

To celebrate the partnership, two new reward tiers have been added to the Labyrinth Kickstarter campaign. Starting today, Labyrinth Kickstarter backers at the newly established “Necromancer” reward tier will receive a unique card back, early access to the Undead Slayer Hero with an exclusive skin and dungeon tileset, an exclusive “Shambling Dead” skin minion card, an undead dragon Dracoliche Boss with an exclusive skin and dungeon tileset, and much more.

“As huge fans of Robert Kirkman, we’re stoked to have the chance to work with Skybound on our own rich, fantasy world we’ve created for Labyrinth.”

- Chris Scholz, CEO of Free Range Games.
