A data center power outage over the weekend couldnt have come at a worse time for Turbine. The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) developer was set to launch its Helms Deep expansion yesterday, but complications from the outage and additional downtime led to a slight delay of the expansions launch to ensure a smooth rollout of the new content. Luckily for LOTRO fans, its a short wait.
LOTRO servers are scheduled to go down at 6AM ET on Wednesday, November 20th, 2013 for the deployment of the Helms Deep expansion update. No expected downtime was given.
On Wednesday November 20th, all LOTRO Game worlds will be brought down at 6:00 AM Eastern time (-5 GMT) to prepare for the release of Helms Deep. The LOTRO Store will be taken down at 5:00AM Eastern (-5GMT).
Release Notes will be made available during the downtime.
