Casey Hudson, executive producer of the Mass Effect series, last posted on Twitter shortly after the March launch of Mass Effect 3 and the subsequent backlash that followed the games controversial ending. This week Hudson made his triumphant return to his long dormant Twitter page (there's also a player thread on the official forums) to chat with fans and start gathering their feedback on what they would like to see in the upcoming fourth installment of the Mass Effect series.
We're in early stages of designing a completely new Mass Effect game. What would you want to see in it?

Given the vast amount of backstory already associated with the Mass Effect universe, this could go in any number of directions. Heading to the future, BioWare could explore the consequences of whatever colorful choice the players made to end Mass Effect 3 on. Heading into the past, there are a number of potential stories ranging from the first contact war with the Turians, the Krogan Genophage, and the Rachni wars.
Where should the series go in your opinion? Should it go back and explore the various stories of the past from the Codex or continue forward in a post-Shepard era. Tell us what you think below.
