Fans waiting for Mega Man Online to finally blast his way onto the MMO scene are getting some bad news this week. Kotaku has dug up a pair of recent posts about the project over at This Is Game and GameMeca that seems to confirm that the plug has finally been pulled on the Mega Man Online’s (also called Rockman Online) development.

Rumors of the game’s cancellation have been circulating since last year, and now it appears that Capcom’s 2D hero won’t be taking his fight to the MMO space after all.
