Could City of Heroes (CoH) be getting a sequel? Eurogamer is reporting that CoH publisher NCsoft has trademarked City of Heroes 2. This could hint at a possible sequel to the superhero-based MMOG, or perhaps NCsoft is just reserving real estate. This is far from a confirmation of a sequel, but CoH has a lot of competition from newer superhero-based MMOGs such as Champions Online and the two popular IP superhero MMOGs in development: DC Universe Online, and Marvel Universe. So NCsoft could be looking to develop a sequel to give their superhero universe an upgrade. For now, not much is known for sure, so stay tuned in case something more develops.
