I guess it was too much to expect that the lull in plundered publisher databases was going to last. So whose database got sodomized this time you ask? It’s the good people of the PlanetSide 2 EU community over at ProSibienSat.1.

The EU PlanetSide 2 publisher recently announced that an unauthorized third-party was able to gain access to its system and as such the emails and passwords of several accounts may have been compromised. While the information is encrypted, any accounts that are expected to have been affected will receive an email prompting a change to the password.

We have ascertained that there was recently unauthorized third-party access to one of our systems. The possibility that your data (Email address and password) has been accessed by an unauthorized third party cannot be excluded. We were able to detect the problem promptly and took all necessary action to rectify the issue.

By now you know the drill, change your passwords as a precaution. If you were foolish enough to use them elsewhere make sure to change those as soon as possible and then check your accounts to make sure that everything is in order.
