Happy
Christmahanukwanzicka!
Here's a little excerpt from my latest newsletter
href="http://shayalyn.blogs.tentonhammer.com/?p=21">blog:
I’d like to take a moment, on behalf of
myself and the
Vanguard Ten Ton
Hammer staff, to wish you all the happiest of holidays, whether you
celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah,
Kwanzaa, or Yule. I celebrate Yule, or the winter solstice. My
celebration is about reflecting on how the longest night of the year
signifies the return of the sun (after the solstice the hours of
daylight get progressively longer). Jewish families will light their
menorahs for the 8 day Festival of Lights that is Hanukkah. Christians
will illuminate their homes and celebrate the birth of the Light of the
World. The thing that touches me this time of year is that no matter
how different our beliefs we’re somehow very much the same.
Here's wishing you peace and joy and light this holiday season...and a
bright 2007.
