San Diego was one of the many places put in the dark yesterday after a utility worker carrying out a procedure at a substation knocked out power across the California, Mexico and Arizona. Some of Sony Online Entertainment’s (SOE) games such as EverQuest, EverQuest II, Star Wars Galaxies and Pirates of the Burning Sea were also knocked offline when their AT&T facility briefly lost power.

According to a Tweet from SOE CEO John Smedley late last night, most game services have now been restored. Some games may still experience issues with logging in for a while longer but for the most part it appears that services are back online.
