Its not uncommon to experience a few issues with a game update that requires a hotfix or two to get under control. Those of us that play MMOGs are all too familiar with this process, but Blizzards recent 1.5.0 Arcade update for StarCraft II looks as though it is going to require quite a bit more than a little hotfix to get under control.
The 1.5.0 update went live on August 1st with the goal of adding a new features for easier game finding, a streaming launcher and bringing sweeping changes to Battle.net (mission accomplished...um, sort of) along with a new UI, improved editing tools and a consolidated menu. The update, however, has since left the game in a bit of a mess for some players. A few of the issues that have turned up include client crashes when viewing certain player profiles, missing ladder data, search issues for finding a map in the Arcade, logging in to find the client language changed (look here if you need help with fixing that), missing or lost ladder data, the client login getting stuck in an infinite loop, custom games with different game builds and more.
All in all its a bit of a mess right now, but Blizzard is working to get an update out to get things under control. In the meantime, you can check out Blizzards response post on the EU forums for further updates along with the current list of 1.5.0 known issues.
