Undead Labs launched its first title last week with the sandbox zombie survival horror game, State of Decay. Since its launch last week on Xbox Live Arcade, State of Decay has sold more than a quarter of a million copies, making it the second fastest selling title on XBLA.

State of Decay throws the player right into the middle of a zombie apocalypse and tasks them with scavenging supplies, finding allies and other survivors, and establishing a base with defenses to help keep the zombie hordes at bay. The world progresses even when the player is offline, leading to dynamic changes for better or worse over time.

State of Decay is available on Xbox Live Arcade for 1600 Microsoft Points ($19.99). A PC version will be released at a date to be announced later.
