The original Torchlight was a bit of a sleeper hit for Runic Games with over a million copies sold. To the surprise of no one, a sequel had to be made, and its proving to be just as popular as the first.
Runic Games today announced on its Twitter page that Torchlight II has managed to sell more than two million copies since its launch last September. The fact that Torchlight II was featured frequently during the recent Steam Summer Sale probably didnt hurt the numbers at all.
