Turbine has announced the next chapter in the epic saga of Middle-earth with The Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood. The new digital expansion will expand the online world eastward into the dark forest of Mirkwood. Within Mirkwood, players will take part in the epic conclussion of the volume II storyline. A level cap increase to 65 will also be included along with combat and Legendary Item enancements, and the dark fortress of Dol Goldur.

The new update will be available this Fall.
