Ragnar Tørnquist announced back in November the opening of his new studio, Red Thread Games, which is creating a continuation of The Longest Journey saga with Dreamfall Chapters. This week Tørnquist announced the start of the Kickstarter campaign for Dreamfall Chapters with a new trailer and more game details about the project.
Dreamfall Chapters will continue and conclude the story of Zoe Castillo, the main protagonist of Dreamfall. Players of the previous games will have a chance to revisit familiar locations while also experiencing new areas, new game mechanics, and new characters from a dystopian cyberpunk future. The games story line looks to provide a fitting, satisfying and emotional conclusion to the Dreamer Cycle.
Dreamfall Chapters is looking to raise $850,000 in funding as its Kickstarter goal. As of this writing, more than $174,000 has been raised with 29 days left to go. Head over to the Kickstarter page and give it a look for yourself to learn more.
