Mark Jacobs is back for another Kickstarter update to talk about stealth gameplay and one of his ideas for adding it to Camelot Unchained. Jacobs’ stealth idea may not be the final version, but he has a new idea that some players that like the sneaky side of gameplay may find interesting.

Jacobs opened his video talking about some of the problems associated with traditional stealth gameplay in PvP from both the victim and stealther’s point of view. He discusses some of the likes and dislikes of both and some of the problems in designing the system from a developer’s view.

In thinking about some of those issues Jacobs came up with a new idea to tie Camelot Unchained’s system of stealth to the piercing of the veil, allowing stealthers to act in stealth from within the veil where they will have to face other challenges and even gain new powerful powers with classes such as the VeilWalkers and the VeilStalkers. The catch is that the veil will also fight back. The longer a stealther is in the veil, the more dangerous it can become.

It’s an interesting take on stealth that may or may not become the norm for Camelot Unchained. Check out the video below and tell us what you think. Be sure to read our interview with Mark Jacobs about the crafting & building system of Camelot Unchained for more.

Camelot Unchained is currently at $1,440,023 of its $2 million Kickstarter goal with 5 days to go.
