Will the servers in Vanguard be open (as in EverQuest
II) or regional (as in World of Warcraft)? I want to play with my
friends in the UK so this is important info for me.

The servers will
likely be language based rather than purely regional. Though if, say
for instance, someone in Germany would rather play on the English
client on an English server, we certainly won’t stop them.
