Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (AoC) Game Director Craig Morrison has been teasing players with details about the big Dreamworld engine update to the game over the last few months and today's the big day. An expected 10 hour downtime began at 5:00am EST this morning to deploy the 2.1.3 Dreamworld Technology update, which will bring significant improvements to the game's Dreamworld engine technology. Among some of the improvements scheduled to go live today is an improvement to visual options for DirectX 9 and DirectX10 clients, improved performance, a new FXAA system from Nvidia, improved lighting and much more.

The update also addresses several bugs, lifted the level restriction on the "New Player Help" channel to allow higher level players to help out and tweaked several classes. Players will also find improvements to faction progression and items that will offer them a boost while working to progress their faction status. You can find a full list of the 2.1.3 patch notes on the official AoC forums.
