DC Universe Online (DCUO) delayed its November launch to give the game a little more time for polish and likely to avoid the tidal wave that was the World of Warcraft Cataclysm expansion. But the delay was a short one. Today Sony Online Entertainment confirmed that DCUO's release date is now set for January 11th, 2011. DCUO is expected to retail for $59.99 for the Playstation 3 and $49.99 for the PC in North America. The retail version will include 30 free days of game time and a monthly subscription cost of $14.99. DCUO will be available as part of SOE's Station Access subscription as well.

“Creating DC Universe Online has been a massive undertaking, and we’re excited to be that much closer to launch,” said Christopher Cao, Game Director of DCUO for Sony Online Entertainment.  ”We’re grateful to our beta players for providing us invaluable feedback in these final stages that has enabled us to put the finishing touches on a fun and exciting experience when the game launches in January.”
