Hello and welcome to the 20th edition of Gaming with Uncle Lester! Im your host of todays show, Uncle Lester. Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. Mr. MyHouseIsF*ingHuge finally came out to see what my van was doing behind his house. I popped my head out of his trashcan, flashed my badge and went into my best no-nonsense Dragnet impression. Im Sgt. Friday with the F.I.B. here undercover on special assignment. Are you the owner of this house? Five minutes later, Im back in my van firing up a round of Injustice multiplayer beatdown. Oh yeah!
Speaking of fighting games, its time to throw two supervillains from Marvel and DC into the Pit of Eternal Geeknation and see who comes out on top. This week? I'm pitting Marvel's Doctor Doom against DC's Lex Luthor. Two characters of super-genius levels of intellect and master technological craftsmen, it's time to throw them in The Pit, so let's go!
On the left, sporting the grey armor and green cape, it's Marvels Doctor Doom. Of all the villains the Marvel universe has produced over the past 50 years, none compare to the intelligence, sorcerous capabilities, or pure ruthlessness of Victor Von Doom, aka Doctor Doom. Hes got an army of robot duplicates. He can build nearly any piece of technology he can think up. Hes gone toe to toe with some of the best sorcerers on the planet. All this and he never breaks his word, no matter what that means doing. Hes so bent on destroying the Fantastic Four that hes even helped them battle a foe because he doesnt want anyone else taking them out.
On the right, wearing the purple and green suit of armor, stands Lex Luthor. Hes been the arch-nemesis of Superman since the dawn of time and despite battling him on numerous occasions, is still around to tell the tale. There is no human on the planet that can match the hyper-genius levels of intelligence Lex Luthor possesses. There arent many aliens that can match his intellect either. This extra level of intelligence and possible technological superiority may be just the edge he needs to overcome the magical abilities of Doctor Doom. But is it enough?
Its up to you to decide! Two of the smartest and most ruthless characters the comic universe has ever known. If we threw them into a pit and forced them to fight it out, who would end up the victor and whose corpse would be left to rot in the sand? Vote for your favorites here!
