In case all of the hype for Lord of the Rings Online expansion, the Mines of Moria, hasn't brought your Balrog hating blood to a boiling point, Turbine is offering up a special weekend event to push you over the edge. Starting October 30th, they are offering the following:

* Get +25% bonus experience on mob kills for everyone who logs in and plays. Former players are invited to level up their characters ready for Moria.

* During the LOTRO welcome back weekend, many monsters throughout Middle-earth will drop rare items when defeated. Exchange these rare items for a special gift box that will reward you with a variety of in-game items to aid you in your adventures in Middle-earth.

* Have the chance to test your wits against the Riddle-master and have your outfit discerned by the Fashion Maven. Keep an eye out for these colourful characters as they will be roaming the streets of Middle-earth again.

And did I mention the best part for those of us that may have strayed from our Guardians, Champions, Mistrels and Burglars (yes I know there are more classes, but these are the ones I've played)? The best part about that weekend is that Turbine is making it free to returning players.
