Following a horrible financial year, rumors are persisting that Tomb Raider maker SCi is in buyout talks. Anonymous sources claim there is a small bidding war forming up between American EA and French Ubisoft for the UK based SCi, but that all talks are still in early stages.

Continuing with bad news for companies, media mogul Sumner Redstone has sold his 87% controlling stake in Midway. The part that hurts the most is that 87% of the company sold for only $100k, giving Mr. Redstone a $800 million loss. Mr. Redstone, under the company National Amusements also holds controlling stake in CBS Corp. and Viacom Inc.

Of all the bargains and deals on Black Friday, the Wii and it's companion both with in-store sales (those that actually had them) and online retailers. In addition to traditional retailers, both continued to sell above their retail price on auction sites such as eBay.

Last but not least, the 2008 Child's Play Charity Dinner Auction will be Dec. 9th in Seattle. Tickets are on sale now through Dec. 5th, so snag yours today if you want to attend. Tickets are $125 per person, and $60 of that is tax deductible, for those so-minded.
