Peter Molyneux thinks you wear rags.

According to an interview with VideoGamer Peter Molyneux says we are all in tatters. At first I read it as taters and got excited because I love tater-tots. Alas, that is not the case. Pete thinks that our beloved PC gaming is on life support. If I got a bad console game every time I read about the PC gaming industry being on its last leg I could open a Game Stop, oh wait that's where those games go anyway. Well Mr. Molyneux was apparently referring to the fact that a few games dominate the market like the Sims and World of Warcraft which I didn't know was a bad thing.

I'm sure he hasn't reviewed the latest console gaming lists of top games (which all seem games that are sequels to some previous game (you know like Fable 2 - Peter's latest game). Could those be considered expansions? As a matter of fact, go to Game Stop and look at the most hyped games right now...Gears of War 2, Farcry 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Rockband 2, Call of Duty World at War (sequel to some other CoD), Guitar Hero something or other. Come on Peter, that looks like a gaming hell only Dante could appreciate. Where is the innovation there big guy?

Just because PC gaming adds content during the life of single game and doesn't just tack on numbers to the end doesn't mean the industry is in tatters, it just means that they generate real player investment. Am I wrong here, I dont' think I'm wrong. Am I wrong, let's discuss. Of course in this economy what isn't in tatters?
