New Stargate: Resistance information was released over the weekend in a new interview with lead level designer Jeff Perryman and the addition of new screenshots to the Stargate: Resistance website. Perryman talks about designing the various maps for Stargate: Resistance and his design theory to have a great deal of environmental interaction in each map. He goes on to talk about design decisions and how sometimes creating a level that's fun to design doesn't always translate into a level that's fun to play.

You would think they would go hand in hand. But a lot of times, what is in your head does not always translates into good gameplay, so we toss it and start over. Fun is always in the forefront of our minds and the best way to make sure a level is fun is GamePlay!, GamePlay!!, GamePlay!!! We test out a lot of ideas as we build both the levels and game mechanics, making sure it is both fun and balanced.
