TTH:
What sort of news is going to be coming out of 38 Studios
in the next year? Might we begin to see some information on the next
revolutionary game in the MMO marketplace?

style="font-weight: bold;">Bob: No . . . none.
The implant is starting to throb. . . . I
must refer you to the corporate website, href="http://www.38studios.com">38studios.com.

TTH:
Can you give fans a sneak peek at your latest piece of
work? Are you currently writing for the Drizzt or Entreri/Jarlaxle
storylines?

style="font-weight: bold;">Bob: Right now I'm
finishing up The Ancient for TOR Books,
which begins a new series set in my DemonWars world of Corona. I'm
picking up the story of one of my favorite characters, the Highwayman
(from the same-titled novel) and plopping him into the middle of an
important, world-building story. I'm working with my original editor
for the first time in 20 years, Mary Kirchoff, who also happens to be
with 38 Studios, so we've come full circle.

As
for my WotC stuff, The Orc King will be out in the fall,
kicking off the 20th anniversary of Drizzt Do'Urden (man, I'm old!). It
is a Drizzt book, picking up the story after The Two Swords. I don't
think I'll ever get tired of writing about the guy; I'll be starting
the next Drizzt book this summer.

I've
got three more original novels to write for Wizards,
three to finish for TOR, and a computer game to whip into shape. Three
years from now, I'm going to let loose this gigantic exhale, fall down
for about a month and ponder what's next. It'll have to be pretty
amazing to top this.

TTH: Thanks
again for answering our questions, Bob, and we sure wish you the best
of luck in all your projects!
