Defiance may have had a bit of a rough time since launch, but that doesn’t seem to have hurt Trion’s sales numbers. Since the April 2nd release of what has been dubbed the “transmedia” project, Trion reports that more than 1 million accounts have been registered for the buy-to-play cross-platform MMOTPS.
Despite a number of issues following Defiance’s launch, it has managed to maintain strangely addictive gameplay. So whether it’s that or the recent contest that will give some lucky player a chance at fame by having their face appear in an upcoming episode of the Defiance television show, the endeavor seems to be off to a good start, despite it being a rocky one.
