Guide to Fighter Feats

Feats 41-50

By Scathe and Ralsu

Revised by Nuitaran 11/07/06

A rating of 1 or 2 means the Feat is pretty much
useless to a fighter and one that you probably want to avoid. A rating
of 3 indicates that the Feat can be used with some careful planning if
the fighter build has room to fit it in. We reserve a rating of 4 only
for those Feats that are almost necessary picks for a particular type
of fighter
build. A rating of 5 designates the best of the fighters Feats and ones
players should seriously consider in any href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?meid=5#Builds">DDO build
involving fighters.

41.
Shot on the Run

Official Text: "You can move quickly before and after ranged attacks,
and while reloading."

Prerequisite: Dexterity 13
Base Attack Bonus +4

Point Blank Shot

Mobility

Comments: This is an excellent choice for those ranged fighters.

Rating:
4

style="vertical-align: top; background-color: rgb(219, 201, 125);"> style="font-weight: bold;">42. Skill Focus

Official Text: "Grants a +3 bonus to all skill checks for a specific
skill."

Comments: Some can be useful to a fighter: Intimidate, Balance, Jump,
Tumble, Swim, Repair (Warforged).

Rating:
3
43.
Slicing Blow

Official Text: "Using this attack, your attack may deal its initial
damage plus some additional damage as the target bleeds. Some creatures
may be immune to the bleeding effect."

Comments: The only drawback is the cooldown of 15 seconds. It's a good
Feat to pick up if you have room for it and want something extra.

Rating:
3
style="vertical-align: top; background-color: rgb(219, 201, 125);"> style="font-weight: bold;">44. Snake Blood

Official Text: "The taint of the serpent-like yuan-ti runs in your
veins. You receive a +2 bonus on poison saves and a +1 bonus on all
Reflex saves."

Comments: Your fortitude will protect you from poison and a +1 in
reflex is not much to a fighter. Take lightning reflexes if you want to
improve your reflex saves.

Rating:
1
style="font-weight: bold;">45.
Spring Attack href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album01&id=Undead_awaken&op=modload&name=Gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php"> alt="ghosts"

style="border: 2px solid ; width: 200px; height: 150px;" align="right">

Official Text: "You suffer no penalty to your attack roll when moving
and attacking."

Prerequisite: Base Attack Bonus +4
Mobility

Comments: This is also one of the best ways to avoid damage since you
can move to avoid a monster’s attack on you while still swinging away.
This Feat is awesome for getting in flanking position. It also allows a
tank some mobility to run around the field hitting monsters to grab
aggro. This is a great
Feat to have on any fighter and with some player skill makes you
extremely formidable. It also leads to Whirlwind Attack.

Rating:
5

style="vertical-align: top; background-color: rgb(219, 201, 125);"> style="font-weight: bold;">46.
Stealthy

Official Text: "You are particularly good at avoiding notice. You
receive a +2 bonus on Hide checks and Move Silently checks."

Comments: Leave it to the rogues.

Rating:
1
style="font-weight: bold;">47.
Stunning Blow

Official Text: "Using this attack, you may stun the target for a few
seconds. Some creatures may be immune to the stun effect."

Comments: Hitting stunned monsters does not break the hold. This can be
very useful and it probably the best attack Feat next to Improved Trip
for a fighter to have. The only negative is the 15 second cooldown.

Rating:
4
style="vertical-align: top; background-color: rgb(219, 201, 125);"> style="font-weight: bold;">48.
Toughness

Official Text: "Increases your hit points by +3 at first level, and 1
additional hit point for each additional level."

Comments: I'd only suggest this if your character has a poor CON score.
12 hit points is not much in DDO.

Rating:
2
style="font-weight: bold;">49.
Two Handed Fighting

Official Text: "Increases the chance of glancing blows when wielding a
two-handed weapon."

Prerequisite: Strength 15

Comments: If you’re going to go the Two-handed fighting path, this is a
staple for your fighter.

Rating:
4
style="vertical-align: top; background-color: rgb(219, 201, 125);"> style="font-weight: bold;">50.
Two Weapon Blocking

Official Text: "Increases the amount of damage you can block when
defending with two weapons."

Prerequisite: Two Weapon Fighting

Comments: If you’re going to go dual wielding, this is one of the Feats
you should consider, but Two Weapon Defense is far more useful.

Rating:
3
