Level range indicates optimum level range to gain XP from
kills. Resources indicates crafting materials available from nodes and
from hide-bearing creatures in the area - humanoid mobs may drop other
types of items. Mobs indicates the dominant creature types that can be
found in the area, with links to their relevant slayer deeds where
appropriate. Landmarks include named points of interest and deed
locations, with links to relevant deeds.

Description: Farmlands and gentle
rolling hills west and northwest of Bree, most of them infested with
brigands. The first Hunter campsite is in the middle of a
brigand encampment, and the second one is just above Old Greenway Fort.
The entrance to the Barrow-downs is south of the ruined wall,
and the entrance to Old Forest is just south of Adso's camp. Hillshire
Ruins is a good place to farm medium hides - the bears are plentiful
there and respawn quick. Cirith Nur and the camps across the road are
prime orc-slaying spots for the orc-slayer deed, but you may want to go
there during off-peak hours when the competition is less fierce. The
festival grounds are usually only active during the seasonal festivals,
and the Hedge maze has associated quests during spring festivals (but
can be entered at any time). Hengstacer Farm is where you go to get
your regular horses, and serves as a small quest hub.  VIPs
can go here to pick up the riding skill quest without spending Turbine
Points. The tag forts are good old-fashioned fun and can be activated
by anyone at any time - go there with a group and have a few matches.

Brandywine River and stretching east to the Southern Bree-fields.

swimming west across the river (or, more sensibly, crossing the

Description: A broad swath of
land running north of Hengstacer Farm all the way to the river, and
coursing east to the lake called Nen Harn. Far Chetwood is the wooded
area south of Nen Harn. This is a resource-rich area with very few
associated quests and no landmarks for deeds, giving most players very
little incentive to travel here - which makes it a perfect spot for
farming Journeyman-tier crafting resources. Far Chetwood has an
arguably larger concentration of sickle-flies than Midgewater Marsh
does, and
even though they are higher level here, their numbers and the general
lack of player traffic in the area make this a better place for
completing the slayer deed.

east. Intrepid explorers may enter this region from the north, heading
down through Far Chetwood. Be warned, though - low-level explorers may
