Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC Now Available

Updated Tue, Jun 26, 2012 by Martuk

To say that the ending to Mass Effect 3 sparked outrage would be an understatement. BioWare’s conclusion to their epic trilogy ended on a sour note for many fans, prompting protest in the form of charity drives, forum outrage and delicious three-colored cupcakes. But today is BioWare’s chance for redemption with its fans.

The Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC is now available on the Xbox 360 and will be releasing on other platforms later today save for PlayStation 3 players in Europe, who will have to wait until July 4th. The Extended Cut DLC is available for free to Mass Effect 3 players and aims to address the controversial endings and provide more clarity and closure to what happened in those final moments.

Will it be enough for fans that were outraged by the game’s multi-colored endings? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
