Largest Metin2 Update Brings New Regions, Monsters,
Dragon Stone Alchemy and A Level 105 Increase

KARLSRUHE, Germany - March 5, 2013 - Leading German developer Gameforge today announced that it has released a new expansion for its highly successful MMO Metin2. The new expansion, titled "The Dark Dragons," leads players onto a secretive island with creatures, missions and rewards. Along with a level cap increase to 105, and the new and mysterious 'Dragon Stone Alchemy' process, Metin2's heroes will become more powerful than ever before.

Players from level 90 and above can satisfy their explorative desires in these challenging new areas -- Cape Dragon Fire, Gautama Cliff, Thunder Mountains and Nephrite Bay -- all of which can be found on the legendary island of Dark Dragon Rock. New monsters, like the fish-like creatures of the Tritonic Army or the winged beasts of the Manticore race, lurk in waiting. Courage and fighting spirit are called for in order to survive against these fearsome creatures and their dangerous leaders.

Additional regions contain many more challenges and dangers, including new and even more dangerous Metin stones hailing down on the island. These need to be destroyed as quickly as possible to prevent their dark influence on the kingdom. Brave heroes who have risen to the new missions will receive powerful weapons and armor as a reward.

To prepare for the journey to Dark Dragon Rock, players can now level up their characters to level 105. With the help of the mysterious Dragon Stone Alchemy, players can produce powerful dragon stones from looted dragon stone shards that will lend them unimagined powers. Dragon stones originate from the heart and soul of an elemental dragon that gives its bearer bonuses on health or mana points, as well as effective resistances against the elements of fire, ice, earth, wind, lightning and darkness. From level 30, characters have the potential to assemble two different sets from these magical precious stones: Heaven and Earth. Dragon stones can also be refined through multiple levels in order to increase their effects.

"The Dark Dragons" update is the prelude to further exciting adventures in the world of Metin2. In the future, it will be expanded in regular intervals with additional content.
