Perfect World has opened another division for its MMOG developer, Cryptic Studios. The new division located in Seattle is dubbed Cryptic North and is headed up by Russell Williams, a 15-year veteran of the gaming industry and former co-founder of Flying Lab Software, the studio responsible for the development of the Pirates of the Burning Sea MMOG.

Cryptic North will be tasked with further developing the superhero-based MMOG, Champions Online as well as providing additional support for Star Trek Online and Neverwinter.
