The folks at Wargaming have opened up Closed Beta applications for upcoming collectible card game, World of Tanks Generals. This new game will offer both PvP and PvE modes, and will be playable in web browsers to start. Versions for both Android and iOS devices are planned, but no release date for those platforms has been established as of yet.

In terms of includes for the Closed Beta, there are said to be over 200 cards split between three factions: USA, Germany, and the USSR. For those of you already invested in other Wargaming.net properties, you’ll be able to utilize your unified Wargaming.net ID in World of Tanks Generals. While it may seem like a minor thing, unified logins go a long way towards player loyalty as has been proven by other leading industry juggernauts such as Blizzard Entertainment.

How will World of Tanks Generals stack up against the wildly popular Hearthstone? The official announcement for the Closed Beta attempts to provide some insights:

Our main goal with Closed Beta is to evolve the game into the incredible experience we’re aiming for,” said Andrey Zimenko, Director of Global Operations, World of Tanks Generals. “We've put a lot of effort into the game and are looking forward to seeing how testers like the current version, as well as hear their ideas and suggestions about the game's future.”
