Clan of Conan
Q: How does the Class System work in “Age of Conan?”
A:
The first five levels of the game are played without a class. It introduces you to the four archetypes available. At level five, you become an archetype between Mage, Priest, Rogue or Soldier. At level 20, you become your final class – the one you will stick with for the rest of the game with that character.

Q: What are the classes and their archetypes?
A:

  • Mages can choose to be a Necromancer, Herald of Xotli or Demonologist.
  • Priests can choose to be a Tempest of Set, Priest of Mitra or Bear Shaman.
  • Rogues can choose to be a Barbarian, Assassin or Ranger.
  • Soldiers can choose to be a Guardian, Conqueror or Dark Templar.

Q: Are there crafting classes?
A:
No. Crafting is available through a different skill tree, available to all classes.

Q: What is a “Skill Tree?”
A:
Every time a player levels up, he or she will be able to apply points to various skills, such as hiding, climbing, taunting, etc.

Q: What are feats?
A:
Feats are available to players through leveling and through training. You need to seek out a trainer to learn your feats. Some feats are automatically assigned to you, and others are available as a choice you’ll make while leveling up. Their uses are the bulk of the character, ranging from feats that allow you to wear special armor to others that provide a special attack.

Q: What is the level cap?
A:
At launch, the level cap is 80 adventuring levels and 20 PvP levels.
