In some rather surprising news today, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has acquired Turbine, makers of the popular MMORPGs Asheron's Call, The Lord of the Rings Online, and Dungeons and Dragons Online. The acquisition of Turbine gives Warner Bros. access to an already established market of MMORPG gamers. What will this mean for current gamers of Turbine games? Maybe more content or a business as usual. Time will tell as the new owners settle in.
