This past week on the Ten Ton Hammer network we looked at a lot of things coming up in the World of Warcraft both for the impending patch 4.0.1 and Cataclysm. For patch 4.0.1 we looked at how the patch will affect both the Druid Boomkin and the Warlock class. For Cataclysm related content we covered the final leveling zone the Twilight Highlands and the new battleground called Twin Peaks.

Also this week was another update to our very own PlayerScore system to include more onscreen tool tips to help you figure everything out.

In WoW news this week, and there was a lot of it, we looked at many topics. First up the confirmed release date for Cataclysm December 7th! After that all news is tiny, right? Not really, we covered the announcement of a HUGE contest from Blizzard, a huge number for current subscribers, the BlizzCon 2010 Schedule, and much more.

All this and more can be found right here at WoW.TenTonHammer.com.

As players level in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm they will eventually reach the new end-game zone called The Twilight Highlands. This is the zone where ultimately the fate of Azeroth is set to be decided. In this zone you get to face off against the Twilight Hammer Cultists and the Black Dragonflight to determine the world’s fate. The zone is extremely large and varied, and highly story driven. Join Byron “Messiah” Mudry as he explores the game’s new end zone in the beta.

Introduction to the Twin Peaks Battleground

Twin Peaks is the new 10 player battleground in Cataclysm. The objective is Capture the Flag. The simplest explanation of the battleground is that it's Warsong Gulch with a different layout.

Players tend to gravitate and fight near the central bridge, if you can control it then it accomplishes the same purpose as central map control in Warsong Gulch: it allows you to assist your offense who is trying to return the flag, and cuts off the opposing team's flag carrier from reinforcements.
