The European and North American release of href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/taxonomy/term/254"> style="font-style: italic;">Aion: The Tower of Eternity
may still be a ways off yet, but since it's November release in Korea
the game has certainly gained a lot of praise from a rapidly expanding
fan base.  Not only that, but in an announcement made earlier
today Aion has been selected as the winner of the Best Korean Game of
the Year 2008.

We are delighted to announce that Aion: The Tower of
Eternity has won
the coveted 'Best Korean Game of the Year' title in the Korean Game
Awards for 2008. It was widely observed that Aion outshone competing
efforts with its epic scale, immersive story, and stunning graphics and
sound design.

Aion is certainly a stunning looking game,  so here's to
hoping this is a good sign that the gameplay is equally compelling and
that the localization for a Western audience goes well.
Either way, it's nice to see some positive news for NCsoft for a
change!
